I Don't See A Dog; You See A Dog?

http://oaklandlocal.com/article/good-dogs- fine-art-interview-pit-bull-rescue-founders- donna-reynolds-and-tim-racer

This picture I thought would go well with the title of this blog post and the subject material. And, my service dog happens to be a pit and one of my favorite breeds of dogs.  Bella is very friendly, devoted, and a wonderful I want to please you and do for you type of dog.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm definitely going to the dogs.  Some of the dog art I found I just absolutely positively had to share with you.  I hope you like dogs, or at least don't mind dogs in art.
Some of the art is stunning, unusual, unique, cleaver, ole, new, unconventional, and worth the time to see and appreciate.  I even found a movie which I thought was befitting a place here because of the title and also because we did some movie editing as a class project.  I thought some of the shots and angles were interesting because of the way you saw people.  The close ups were very close up and personal for example.  Enough about the movie, we'll get to that later.  Here are links, information, and pictures of dogs art and variety.
http://www.sibleyfineart.com/ This site has tutorials and work shops as well as dog art.
    http://www.folkdogart.com/ This is all dogs in the unique simple form of imagination and reality.  Here is a clue of what is on this web site.
    I thought this was a nice mosaic with great detail and of course it is art and it has a dog.
    The cat and dog pics I couldn't resist because they have some of my favorite colors and I have cats and dogs so what better way to end this blog; than with dogs and cats.
    Oh! you wanted to see the movie I was telling you about earlier.  Actually it is about the title of the movie or was there more to this information?  Take a look and you'll see.  Moving images and this course have a have made me more aware of of details and the techniques necessary to put together a movie.  Time for a break, relax and enjoy.
    because of the title, the movie  editing project & i thought this would   be interesting__computer stalled, so I'll have to try to finish watching this later.  If I'm unable to see the rest of the production, would someone please tell me all about it when you've finished watching, thank you.
    Semester Adventure
    This semester was quite an adventure for me.  I very much enjoyed all the projects.  Now I know more about digital art than I have known all my life.  with much gratitude I have soaked up everything possible and plan holding to and embrace my new found knowledge.  I will miss this class and hope to be able to take more similar classes in the future.
    Thinking about the future and what I might do, I decided to explore more educational opportunities.  Here is what I found:
    1.  Art Institute
    2.  Carrington College California
    3.  Full Sail University
    4.  International Academy of Design &  Technology
    5.  Westwood College
    2D, 3D, And 4D
    In found an interesting 4D cube which is similar to Rubik's cube.
    The way the cube is displayed is interesting especially when you manipulate it and watch how the pieces change positions.
    http://www.superliminal.com/cube/cube.htm
    http://www.superliminal.com/cube/cube.htm
    I found some 2D images which I thought were detailed, colorful, something I would like to try to make a similar type of picture, and something to study.
    3D imaging is more of a challenge for, however I plan to study it more and want to work on some pictures similar to the pictures below.  Because of 2D being rendered on a flat surface and 3D being rendered on a dimension similar to working with substances like making a statue,  and then displayed on a flat surface, I'm not sure if telling the difference is possible.  I know when viewing 3D movies you need special glasses, so perhaps, I'll have to forgo this experience.  I have one eye which works which means; I have no depth deception, ability to use 3D glasses, and my vision in the other eye is very limited.  Art is a challenge, especially 3D art.  If anyone has any ideas and/or resources; which would help me successfully continue my quest in the art field, most importantly digital art; I appreciate your information.
    Some Of My Favorite Web Sites
    I am currently getting to know my new service dog Bella.  Here is a link to one of m y favorite sites and where I got this picture of what Bella almost looks like.
    http://www.pitbulllovers.com/
    What I like about this picture is the use of the sofa for a great back ground color.  The blue sets off the color of the dog well with no doubt the canine is sleeping, and makes the dog distinct and stand out so there is no problem seeing the dog.  The photo is clear, close enough to the subject to see the dog well, the colors compliment each other, they do not conflict with each other, and I didn't have to try to guess where the dog was in the picture.
    Because I do not have a picture of Bella, to give you an idea of her color, and an idea of how she is when I'm working on my school work, I decided this was a very good picture to use.
    Here are a few more of my favorite sites:
    1. The pictures and other art at these sites are fascinating.
    2. There are resources and tutorials.
    3. The information about the artists is informative and very interesting.
    4. The font on these sites and the back ground make reading the information possible.
    5. I hope to learn how to create similar art in the future.
    6. I'll be able to check out more information by following the links on these sites.
    7. I'm inspired to create more art.
    8. I have art and art information sites I can share and inspire people to enjoy and learn more about art.
    9. I'll continue to [because of this class and finding these sites] research art especially computer art.
    Digital art is growing on me.  This seems to be a very good way for me to express my imaginations adventures.
    Art and code
    I was curious about art/code and wether code and art would help each other and the artist create someones artistic endeavors.  It seems there is very little resources to find out what the answer may be according to my search results.  Does anyone know more about this?
    I did find this website.
    http://html.software.informer.com/download-html-code-for-ascii-art/
    The Art Of Disability
    This class has been quite a challenge.  I've been stretched and molder, given much knowledge, thought outside the box to figure out how to get things created properly, and enjoyed every moment.  Well, not every moment.  There were times when I had to redo something because it wasn't going to work or because it was so messed up there was no fixing it, and/or because my computer ate my home work.
    To accomplish creating the assignments I have made the font and everything possible on my computer very, very large, {about 36p size,} and spend nearly an entire day if necessary working on getting my work correct.  I didn't do this every day just when absolutely necessary.  Another challenge is managing to sit in front of the computer for hours and hours each day.   Fortunately I have a power wheelchair which changes positions electronically which helps I have hearing loss, which doesn't inter fear directly with my art work, however, when listening to instructions or other information for this class, I sometimes miss something said or do not understand a word here and there.very much.
    I guess this qualifies me as a disABLED artist.  I was curious about what I would find if I search "disability art", so I did a search and this is one of the sites I found and some information.
    ****************************
    Frida Kahlo, one of the earliest painters of disability experience, mastered the self portrait. Her paintings are an intimate look at herself; her physical pain and turmoil as a result of numerous accidents and illnesses.
     Recognized for his oversized portraits,Chuck Close uses a mechanical device to move and rotate his paintings. His unique brush, supported by a hand brace, applies paint in circular, abstract shapes.
    Michael Naranjo was totally blinded as a result of an injury he sustained from a grenade explosion in January, 1968 during combat in the Vietnam War. He has curated a touchable exhibition of his works to change the ways in which people, including those with visual disabilities, experience art. He believes that blindness, long perceived as the inability to appreciate visual artforms, should not prevent individuals from having an aesthetic experience. ======================================
    It is worth the time to visit the site and take a look at the art and information because it may inspire you and offer knowledge which would help you continue your art adventure.
    This Art Has Evolved Into.......
    very detailed, colorful, unique, wearable, and hales from many genres; such as animal tattoos, art tattoos, etc.  I remember when there wasn't a lot of color or details.  There were no "tattoo artists" don't remember what these art creators were called.  All I know is it wasn't considered art nor were these people who could draw on you considered artists.  I should have chosen this for my project 3 work :-)  I think it was project 3.
    Here is an up close look at this kind of art.
    -------------------------------------
    http://www.tattooartists.org/
    This reminds me of 3D because to me it looks like it is raised as if it were bolstered with batting.  The bird has nice detail which for me is relaxing, has colors which complement each other, and I think is realistic and represents a blue bird well.
    This tattoo seems to be looking at you with much emotion.  It reminds me of an abstract/psychedelic work because of the different colors and the details are a reminder of the abstract work I viewed in my Constructivism work.  True it is definitely an eye, however to me it has been put together in pieces with unusual colors, and it also would be a good print for a poster constructivism or for something else.
    If I didn't know these works were tattoos, I would think they were pictures or posters, or photos doctored up to look different.
    Unitqe, Very Interesting Art: 'royalty-free'
    I found some interesting art, so am sharing it with you along with important information about this art.
    Many of the photos I found are abstract, extremely colorful, I think beautiful, and amazing.  Green happens to be a favorite color and then blue, so naturally I was attracted to a green art work which you've got to see.  Then I found a very nice and colorful explosive piece which has many, many dazzling colors.  And last but not least the blue work which has a lot of "blue".
    And to spice things up a bit to add to this array of art cuisine I found this information.
    What does 'royalty-free' mean?
    “Royalty-free” is a type of a stock photo license that provides for the unlimited use of an image in any media defined in the licensing terms. “Royalty-free” is the opposite of “rights-managed.” A rights-managed image needs a specific license stating the audience and material surrounding the image. All the images on Shutterstock are royalty-free and do not require an individual license. All images are bound by one or both of the two types of licensing agreements.
    This is what started my exploration:
    I wanted to find colorful unique art which is different, free to show and share with my classmates, and something I like and could enjoy for a while.  These are my picks:
    Art Software
    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=14185424
    The above link is for free 3 year license of software. This may be helpful to you, for creating your ideas and bringing them to life for your school art assignments.
    3D And Me
    I decided to search free 3D art to see what I could find and found a very interesting picture.  What caught my eye first was the purple (my sisters favorite color) which is vivid and brings you into the scene; I think in an inviting way for exploring the rest of the picture.
    I also found that there are several 3D rendering programs which are available for free or on a free trial basis.  Here is a link to one I'm considering trying: http://www.daz3d.com/   I want to try some of these other software programs to see how they function compared with SketchUp.
    Working with 3D is quite a challenge for me.  I am enjoying creating my project and look forward to seeing what is being created in this class.
    Below is the picture and some information about the picture that got my attention.
    I Have Dogs Part 2
    Here are photoes of Shady & Coco.  Coco (chocolate)(top picture) is about 12 to 14 years old and Shady (buff color)(Bottom picture) is 11 years old.  They are my foster dogs from the Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center.
    It's The Season
    Because it is getting into the holiday season I thought I'd explore some......you guessed it!!!!!!! art :-)  Not just any art; special art which fits into several occasions.  This way we can celebrate together before the end of classes.
    "I have enjoyed this class; sharing our projects with each other; learning from each other; and last but not least sharing some holiday cheer".
    Interesting Information I Found While Roaming Around
    I found this snowman while roaming around the clip art websites. Thought I'd share him with you.I like the colors and the concept. Tiz the season approaching so I'll see what else I can find which will add to the festivity.
    I decided to allow him to have this page to himself so that there are no distractions from his art details.
    The Page
    My First Coded Page
    I'm trying to do this from memory. So far it is working well. Hopefully I will remember everything I need to finish this post. If not, I'll have to study more.
    I'm going to try placing a link below this text.
  1. W3Schools
  2. The w3schools is a great place to learn about many different codes. So far this is going ok, I did have to refer to the link code to figure out what I left out.
    I found a picture of Shady and Coco so as promised will add them to this blog tomorrow or at least by the end of the week. And, I will finish the other post I started a few days ago. There I will add the art I found while checking out a search I did on graphics art.
    I am planning on adding more to this page using html or perhaps this and a little more html elsewhere. I have learned that the language is very precise and it has changed quite a bit from years ago.
    MOVIE LINK
    MOVIE Trials and Challenges
    Making this movie was full of obstacles and major challenges.  It was trial by fire because:
    I was unable to get premier to download and run on my computer.  I tried to do this several times almost crashing my computer, so decided to see what would work and go with that.  Fortunately, at least something worked.
    I was very  glad to have at least a program I could use to edit my movie.
    The editing process was extremely time consuming and like trying to find a needle in a hay stack.  I had to figure out by trial and error what function did, how to get them to work, and getting them to work when and where I wanted them to work.  This went slowly and I wasn't able to get everything the way I wanted because of my computers shutting down many times and losing some of the material.  when I finally got most of the movie together I decided to keep what I have and not take a chance of losing anymore video and audio.
    My major concern then was how to get the movie saved safely and to share it with the class and a few friends.  I had a very limited ability with this program for sharing, so decided that the best solution would be to place a link on my class blog.  I can remind everyone to blog, remind me to visit your blogs, and make it possible for everyone to see my movie without taxing every ones computers to their limits.  And, when I look at projects for this class, I wind up having to down load them.
    • editing--challenge because of trying to do this without seeing the characters and other indications of how things were happening
    • process--I would gradually remove portions of the media until I got what I wanted the way I wanted. then I would slowly add bits and pieces until I created the full elements picture of what was happening.
    • sharing--this required some thought because I didn't want to lose all this work and I had already redone much of the movie several times because of glitches.  My decision was to place the movie on my computer in a file, then place it on the Adobe website in my account, then think more about how to share with everyoneso that nothing would be lost and the movie would be easily accessible.
    Work Of Art
    I have been reminded about art today while visiting some of the sites for the CAT111 class.
    My writing is a work of art because I and change the font color and  font.
    I can change the size of font, boldness, underline, and when composing in html and xhtml make other changes.
    Actually putting words together is a work of art called "poetry"
    Art can be anything to anyone and nothing to aNYONE.  tHE BEAUTY OF ART IS IT IS VERY PERSONAL.  I have enjoyed this class very much and have because of this learned more about art guidelines and concepts as well as gained a greater appreciation for art and digital design.
    Ups, Downs, trying to get back roaming around
    It's about time I catch up from being behind.
    I've spent much time working on Constructivism.  During my travels around the net, I focused only on this topic and now I found this to share with you.  This braille alphabet display came from:
    http://www.brailleworks.com/Resources/BrailleAlphabet.aspx
    Most of my life I have been able to choose which format to use for getting information.  If I want to read for a long time, have a lot of information I want to cover, or want to read in bead, I use braille.  Not being a fast braille reader, when I have to cover information in a short period of time and there is a lot of reading, I either use recorded books on CD or recorded books on flash drive. I thought I would share this with you because of the patterns.  Louis Braille developed this system. He lived in France.  Therefore, there had to be some changes or rather additions made for use with English.  Do you see where there is a deviation from the pattern?
    For some reason this post isn't turning out the way I planned.  The functions aren't cooperating.  I will return tomorrow or this weekend to try to fix this.
    Just so you know, I have vision, however it is limited. The way I use the computer is to set up the accessibility functions in windows and go into other places where I can change things so I can see what's displayed on the screen.
    I havn't forgotten about posting the dogs, will try to work on that this weekend :-)
