Times Are Changing

Have you noticed packages of items are shrinking while prices are rising?  This has been happening for decades, but now it is at epidemic proportions.  Because I'm not willing to be robbed.  If the item changed my shopping habits and regularly check prices compared to the weight and size of the package.  Many products are now off of my list because I'm not willing to spend my money making someone rich.

Are you confused because my last paragraph is skewed?  I'm not going to change it.  Confusion and not knowing what to believe are the tools that cause good people to do nothing to change injustice and heavy-handed manipulation of folks who are considered cattle.

What are you passionate about?  If there was nothing holding you back, what would you want to do to make things better?  I do not believe in violence as much as possible, but using our heads is our best defense of liberty.  There is enough for everyone, kindness goes a long way, helping each other makes light work and we can progress together better than by ourselves.

Everyone has talent and together we can make what is needed and barter.  We don't need plastic or currency.  We need each other to share and support each other.

Beware the negative and the darkness because it will eat you alive.  When good men and women do the right things beneficial progress can be made.  When you don't have bread, make cake.

I'm Back!

Writing something consistently can be a challenge for me.  First I need to remember to do this.  I remembered!  The next challenge is figuring out what to write.  Math is not one of my strengths, but writing, I can do reasonably well.  So, go figure!

I would like someday to raise chickens.  With my friend's help, I hope this will be a reality sometime next spring.  Currently, I'm raising insects because these are easy to farm and they will help me stretch the chicken food budget.

In the beginning, I will probably need to have a cattle panel structure for the chickens and eventually upgrade this as volunteer help and finances allow.

Any suggestions are welcome.

My Return

Three years of medical issues and other life challenges prevented me from writing.  Before this, in 2016 I moved, I had to adjust and settle into my new home and living area, and this took much longer than I expected.

long story short, blogging became an item waiting for my attention.  Some people might consider this a failure, but I consider this an adventure with words that is available whenever and wherever I am able to jump in and share with everyone.  The word "whatever" has its place here because although I intend to blog regularly, things happen or don't.  This is life for everyone.  Failure is what you make it.  It can be a learning experience worth a fortune or it...well, let us not go there.  I prefer focusing on the positive.  interruption be they brief or long term can be a positive force also because sometimes taking a break, or finding new and exciting information or activities can inspire me and anyone to continue whatever the task with new enthusiasm and vigor.  What is most important is not how many times you fall/fail, but how quickly you adapt and get up to continue your adventure in whatever you are doing.  What are you passionate about?

I have many interests and some of them I am passionate about.  And, I expect you are wondering what these are and what I do each day.  Well, common, I'll share with you many things.  Whatever you do, I hope you enjoy each day, have safe travels, and many blessings.

One of my passions is insects.  They are beneficial and interesting to watch, and even the so-called pest insects have a purpose.   Being a pest has a lot to do with the environment, the foods that insects eat, what they do in their environment, and other factors.  If insects aren't your thing, that is perfectly ok.

I like animals such as dogs, cats, livestock, and of course exotics.  Art and music are also wonderful.  Computers and the internet are a part of my life every day.  disABILITY or ability in a unique way also is near and dear to me.  There will probably be more here but it's hot, my brain is cooked more than it likes, and I need to rest.

Hard work or better yet working smart is ok, but taking time for yourself such as resting and enjoying a refreshing drink, meal, or time with a friend will do a lot for productivity and more enjoyable life.

I will not promise how often I will write to you, but my plans are to keep in touch regularly.  About once a week is a good place to start.

Do you blog or write?

Safe travels and many blessings.

WHERE I AM ON JANUARY 1, 2020

I AM RICHLY BLESSED AND GOD ID GOOD ALL THE TIME!

Today I was able to look outside my front door and view a beautiful scene.  The sun rising over the mountain shown a red streak growing as the minutes passed.  The gift of life from God is precious, seeing His coloring book the beauty of this planet and nature's beauty are for priceless and well worth enjoying.

Some of my blessings are my guide to changing my lifestyle for the better.  I have two special gifts from God that are going to make a huge and wonderful positive difference in my future.  I am in control of my future and a huge amount of what I think and do impact the results of my daily efforts.

My physical health and financial health are important to me.  God is ultimately most important, He is the one who guides me in the directions I should go and takes care of me.  He wants a relationship with me.  He is my great physician.  He is my financial expert.  He is the one I trust.  I have been on a  lifelong wonderful journey with God in the driver's seat while to enjoy every mile of the ride.  There are sometimes bumps in the road and sometimes potholes but even with these challenging situations along my journey with God in charge I am ok and things work out well for me.  I have to admit that I don't enjoy rough roads but I also know those rough roads are a learning and changing experience for my benefit.  As I learn and grow for the better, the roads become smoother.

God is the CEO of my physical life and financial life.  A few days ago, I had a huge wake-up call.  I realized it was my decisions I've made all of my life which put me where I am right now.  I have to admit that I've made a lot of mistakes and done some very, very stupid stuff.  I have squandered a lot of my blessings, especially the money I've been blessed to have and allowed me to use excuses for doing or not doing what I should have or shouldn't have done.  Now is the time for me to make the necessary changes in order for me to have a better situation.  Because of my positive change of heart and mind God has gifted me two tools which will help me to do what I should do now.

My two wonderful blessings are essential oils and I just found recently a program that teaches me how to become debt-free.  Being debt-free will allow me to have more money for my use rather than paying it to someone else for them to use.  I want to have my money for me to use as I decide.  I want to have a better income.  Knowing about these wonderful knowledge resources is extremely valuable and well worth my effort in learning how and what to do to have a much better lifestyle and to be able to help people.  I will do this, I can do this, and most importantly with God, I will be successful.

This is the beginning of my successful life.

HOW ESSENTIAL OILS ARE MADE

Essential oil distilling is more than a job, it is an exact art. The person who is controlling the distiller must have a complete understanding of the distilling process required to maintain all the natural goodness and life essence of oils in order to maintain all beneficial aspects which the oils offer and be able to produce the therapeutic and natural substance of the oils. If the pressure is not exactly what is required for each specific oil extraction depending on the plant used, such as too high or too low,, or the temperature is too high, it may change the molecular structure of the fragrance molecule, alter the chemistry of the plants natural balance, therefore, resulting in an inferior distillation of the essential oils.
For example – distillation of lavender should not exceed 3 pounds of pressure, temperature should not exceed 245 degrees & should be distilled for 2 hours. A distiller who is only interested in profit will distill lavender for 15 minutes at very high temperature & very high pressure.

Another factor for completely and accurately distilling essential oils is that some plants require different time frames for being allowed to sit after being harvested so that the sugars needed are available.  Knowing the proper time to harvest, what the proper maturity is, and how soon to start distilling is also of major importance.

Having the distillation facilities readily available without transporting the essential oil plants far from the farms where they are grown makes a huge difference in being able to distill them at the greatest opportune time for the very best results.

There is a huge amount of knowledge required in order to bring forth the very best oils from the very best plants which are grown on the most pristine soil.  Much study is necessary to learn about this special science.  MAny years are required in order to know exactly how, when, and where to have the necessary elements which will result in the greatest quality of essential oils possible.  The company which has all of this is the company I completely trust.  They have the farms, distilling facilities and the farms, and the greatest knowledge base for offering the very best essential oils available.

I will write more about the oils, distilling process, the company, and related topics so that you can know and share this knowledge.

Safe travels and many blessings.

THIEVES CAME INTO MY HOME

One of the isles I dislike immensely is the soap/detergent isle.  It is overwhelming with the smells of odors which collide and over power me.  For a long time I did not understand why I was having so much trouble with this store area,

Years later and much research later, I am beginning to know and understand the issues with these products.

For many years I mostly used as much unscented products as I could, but even this I discovered isn't enough to benefit my health and well being.

Finally at long last I found products which are all plant based.  There are no artificial scents, no chemicals, or any thing other than beneficial plant derived ingredients.  And interestingly, I actually do not mind the smell of these products.

When Thieves came into my home, I was elated.

After using the foaming hand soap I found that I had cleaner hands.

Cleaning appliances took less effort and the appliance was cleaner plus there was no rinsing necessary.  I have animals and this is a bit deal because I don't want them to be sick from using cleaners and other products around the house for cleaning, deodorizing, and disinfecting.  Thieves Household Cleaner is my go to cleaner for everything now.

As I put the Thieves to work and things got clean and bright, I also realized that the scent was nice and not over powering.  I feel secure in knowing the animals are safe and even if they get some Thieves on themselves they will be ok.  These products are safe to use around children, animals, and everyone.

Having Thieves products to do the work seems like having a group of Thieves working for me.  My imagination can picture a group of Thieves working extremely hard on my behalf as the home gets cleaned.

I would like to meet you and get to know you.

WRITING, HEALTH, AND OILS

For many years the writer within has been able to grow and evolve as the things of life change and each day brings forth new and exciting situations.  The blessings rain down upon me as I combine my quest for information, better health, writing, and learning about my relationship with essential oils.  Thinking about the recent events which have made huge changes in my life and quality of life brought me to thoughts which fit into this journey extremely well.

While in school I was drawn to writing, but I didn't think or see that what I created was of any value.  It seemed to me to be lacking in life and character.  Eventually I stopped writing unless it was something required for school.

Researching and gaining knowledge through out my life has been a great adventure.  It is in my blood and curses through my veins leading me places and having experiences I would have missed if I had ignored this tantalizing pursuit.  Like metal to a magnet I cannot resist exploring and researching.

Sharing knowledge and teaching is another activity which I gravitate to whenever the opportunity presents itself.  Knowledge is power and strength.  Writing and speaking about the things I've experienced and learned about come naturally.  An example is sharing about a favorite movie or other activity with family, friends, and anyone else who may be interested.

Gaining the knowledge about health and nutrition, writing, and talking with people is for me like sharing precious metals or giving away financial gifts for peoples benefit.  The best thing I can share to help people is health.  Health is in my opinion the most precious state of being a person can have and benefit from daily.  When I share I feel like I'm helping people have better lives.  With God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost, I have been richly blessed to be able to share and help.  It costs me nothing financially.  I can afford that amount of money.  I have the time, so that isn't an issue.  So, why not share, sure I can do this.  I enjoy doing this and also get to meet and know a lot of people, not bad at all and actually I receive blessings because of these people.  We become friends and help each other.

Writing, sharing, and spending time with people is precious and a wonderful way to enjoy the life gifted to me.

A few years ago I may not have had the ability or energy to share about my experiences.  As my health has gradually improved, I can't keep this journey to myself.  I need to share it with people.  I need to write about my adventure in gaining better health.

I was regularly very active.  Much of the time I would use the stairs rather than elevator or escalator.  Walking and riding my bike were activities I enjoyed very much.  Life was good.

One day life changed and I was no longer able to be active because of medical challenges.  Yes, I did have a very short patty party, then I decided enough of this and began to move forward.  Fortunately I had many diverse interests and was able to enjoy many of them even though some were no longer possible.

My journey of discovery and improved health began because I wasn't having any progress or success which ever fits best with managing my medical situation.  I needed to find another way to make positive changes.  I am thankful for computers and the internet because this is where and the tool I used to start my research and gathering of information.

As I learned about nutrition, alternative medicine, herbs, spices, homeopathic, and other options I began slowly making life style changes.

These life style changes were challenging.  Sometimes I would go far astray and then need to return to what I knew was best for me.  It took time and periods of doing well with these changes and moving away from these changes.  Eventually I managed to be reasonably consistent with many life style changes and am stilll adding to them as i Learn more.  Being human, may friend has said I was hatched and crawled out from under a rock, however even though I have  unique view of things at times, I still do the normal human thing of doing something beneficial well for a while and then getting distracted or neglect doing the beneficial stuff.  Recently I've become better at staying on track and have reaped much benefit because of doing this regularly.

One of my latest and most wonderful discoveries is oils.  Do you have oils?  I hope you do, would you like to know more about oils, so would I.  I'm currently exploring the world of oils and using them daily.

So far I've discovered that I can keep my urinary tract healthy by supporting my body's ability to heal itself and maintain heath and balance which is what God had in mind from the beginning of time.  Plants are full of beneficial oils which can help us maintain a healthy body because the body knows what to do with them.

For years I had difficulty with my digestive system.  I needed to use a bowel program in the beginning of my medical issues, but gradually learned how to manage this situation better.  It wasn't the best fr me, but was better than no changes.  As I change my eating habits, eliminated things which weren't good for me, and eventually learned bout oils, my situation improved.  I've recently added a new oil to my daily arsenal of products which have improved my health.  I no longer have to deal with an unbalanced digestive system.  The ups and downs are now balanced and I am more regular and do not need any chemical help to keep me this way.  The chemical stuff didn't work well.  Natural stuff did better but didn't work for everyday balance.  Usually it was try this and it helped a while and then I needed to find something else to help me.  There was no balance in my digestive system, until the oils.

Digize has given me balance/my digestive system and it is now the only product I use to keep me this way .  All Is well.  This oils make a huge difference in my life because I no longer am having the issues of struggling to go or not being able to stop going.  I feel normal again.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  I will be glad to meet you and share with you what information you may need.  It will be good to get to know you.

ESSENCE OF OILS

ESSENCE OF OILS

I’m over joyed because for the first time since I’ve had an indwelling catheter I finally found a product which really keeps my urinary tract extremely healthy.
For about 25 years the war raged between little amounts of bacteria or huge amounts of bacteria. As my knowledge base grew so did the different methods for fighting the bacteria which invaded my urinary tract and settled into my bladder to reek havoc.
On a regular basis I used a lot of ammunition to fight this war and eventually won the battle, but a little while later the battle began again and so it went month after month and year after year.
I need to regress a bit now. In the beginning there was only the knowledge about antibiotics.  Because this was the recommendation, and because I was beyond miserable, I took the antibiotics.  For a very short period of time things seemed to improve, however within less than a week it was back to the usual battling and fighting over ridding my bladder of bacteria.
Another issue was the stones and gunk which plagued my urinary tract.  This seemed to be the new normal, but I knew this wasn’t normal so now what to do?  I didn’t have any answers. Research didn’t offer anything useful.  All I knew to do was take the medication and deal with the ups and mostly downs of living with an indwelling catheter.
Finally I did find some information about other things I could try which may help improve my situation.  Using many if not all of these remedies through the passing years, was helpful only for short periods of time.  Some worked decently and some had little or no effect, which was disappointing and frustrating.   My health and quality of life depended on keeping a balanced and healthy environment within my urinary tract.
Recently I discovered a product which has helped improve my situation by helping support my body’s natural abilities to maintain a healthy urinary habitat.
For me K&B makes all the difference.  For days I have not experienced the usual problems which were present regularly.  No longer  do I wage war against invasion by bacteria because my symptoms seem to have disappeared.  As long as I am diligent in doing everything I can to stay healthy and keep my urinary tract healthy,  I should be able to keep much of the bacteria at a distance and even not allow it to get a strong hold on my bladder environment and other parts of the urinary system.  The bottom line is it’s up to me to regularly take and do what is necessary to maintain a healthy environment in my urinary tract.  My choice is K&B.
I will be happy to meet you and tell you more about the K&B as well as other information which may be helpful.  Please contact me through my email: vpbanjo@yahoo.com, or via Face Book messenger: Vivian Paff

OH! NO! MY DOG IS OUT OF CONTROL!

First and most importantly who is in charge.  If you are paying all the bills, providing food, water, and shelter, then you should be the person in charge.  Most dogs are followers by nature.  Some dogs however, are leaders by nature.

What type of energy does your dog have?
Is your dog content to lay around regularly and enjoy being pet and with you?  You have a low energy dog.
Is your dog sometimes interested in doing things/activities with you or at times goes about making his or her own entertainment?  Your dog is a medium energy dog.

Does your dog want to be doing something regularly and after finding things to do without you needing to encourage your dog to be active?  You have a high energy dog.

These are examples which give an idea about the energy levels of dogs.

The best thing for you and your dog is to be paired according to your energy level as much as possible.  If you have a dog who is regularly wanting to go for a walk, chase rabbits, or balls, or enjoys many activities, and you want to enjoy watching a movie, doing crossword pushes, and relaxing in the sun, then this would be a match headed for many, many challenges.  Or, as some people think of this as headed for trouble.

Take the time to assess your energy level, the activities you enjoy, and as many aspects about your lifestyle as possible because this is a great guide to finding a dog that will fit well into your lifestyle.  It isn't about the breed as much as it is all about the energy.

Take the time to learn about the different dog breeds, their different skills, and abilities, and everything possible so that you know the dog well which will be your best companion.  If you enjoy outdoor activities and you have a dog who really enjoys being home laying on the sofa with you, then this dog would be better with someone who has a more relaxed and restful life style.  Thus, you should seek a dog who wants to be outside enjoying activities.  Within the different breeds there are different energy levels, abilities, and natural things dogs are able to do and enjoy.  Finding the dog for you is like looking for great, valuable, and wonderful treasure.

Consider this:  if you want jewelry and you get tools wouldn't you be disappointed and find yourself with something you really do not want?  Now if you find the jewelry or tools depending on the treasure you seek, wouldn't you be absolutely thrilled to have found the best dog for you?  Of course finding this warm, furry, loving and devoted treasure will be wonderful if you and the dog are a good match for each other.  Please take your time searching for the canine treasure, it will be well worth the time and effort.

When you have a dog with energy which is comparable with yours it is likely that the partnership will work out well.  This depends on understanding of the dogs view of the world and your ability to teach the dog house rules, public rules, and behaviors required for dog and human to enjoy sharing this world.

Leadership is of great importance even when the dog you have chosen for a life long companion is a leader by nature.  Remember who is providing food, water and shelter?  You are the leader and should be in charge.

If you are not the leader guess who is and in fact is in charge even when not paying the bills?  You got it!  If you aren't leading the dog is.  It is a natural thing for the dog to lead if no one else is doing this.

Even dogs who are natural followers will take the leader position if it is left void.

A dog who is a natural follower does not want to be in the leader position but if necessary will do this.  The results are not good for the dog or the person.  Dog and person wind up unhappy, things go wrong, and often the dog pays the price because of being misunderstood.

Now what?
Your research has been in depth, and completed, and now it is time to start visiting with dogs.  I recommend spending time with many dogs and then gradually deciding on the dogs who seem to be the best fit for you.  As you find a small selection of potential life time companions, you will be able to study the individual and discover things which they are good at doing that may give you a clue about their behaviors and talents.  Depending on what activities you plan to enjoy with your dog, you should watch for the natural rates to appear.  This may mean investing in several visits with the dogs. Your treasure hunting is an investment in a life time of joy and wonderful life experience with your life long companion.  Whatever the dog enjoys and does naturally is a clue about the things your dog will likely do if not supervised, getting proper exercise, and mental stimulation.  If you do not want your dog to find it's own means for using the energy it has, then it is up to you the leader to guide the dog and show it what is expected.  What is allowed and what is not allowed.

Spending time with your dog doing what you and your dog enjoy is beneficial for both of you.  Exercise is of great importance for the dog especially walking with the leader, you.  More about the walk in the next post.

Christmas Adventure and Service Dog Bella

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hThDnhmIdbw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I enjoyed Christmas day very much, however the Saturday after was quite an adventure.  My friend and I decided to go on a road trip and venture into several store.  One of the places we visited had many different departments so we were able to explore seeking the different items we wanted to investigate and possibly purchase.  I was richly blessed with a gift card which I wanted to use to get a Christmas gift.  Recently I started making videos to share information and helpful tips so was interested in finding a video camera which would do a great job of producing quality video content.

Before shopping for this vidoe camera I did quite a bit of research to learn what different features video cameras have, the compatibility with operating systems, how well they would work in different conditions, what specifications were required for different computers, and all other information which would help me to choose the very best possible video camera to work with my computer and operating system as well as the types of videos I'd be making for the different websites.  I found out which video cameras I wouldn't want as well as the ones I wanted to investigate further.  The one store where I looked at video cameras had one which I was interested in, however the price was higher than I thought reasonable.  I decided to wait until I had the chance to look at the offerings of the other store we were planning to explore.

I had make the right choice because at the department store I found the video camera that fit the requirements I required and it was cheaper than the one priced more than $10 more at the other store.  It pays to research first the item and then to shop around to find the best possible price.  I know that things would have turned out worse if I had not researched video cameras and had purchased the first video camera I thought I wanted which would have been largely based on price rather than what it was capable of doing and how it would interface with my equipment.

The video camera I found is capable of plug and play, turning 360 degrees, can mount on lap top brother computer screens, or can mount onto a tripod, and can also work with windows os or apple os.  The Logitech c615 is reasonably priced, well built, and does a good job of creating video content.  I'm well pleased with this camera.

An extra bonus is that I found a very, very comfortable bed for my service dog Bella.  Her old bed is worn out and scruffy looking.  Being well worn and due for retirement I decided to see if I could find a bed which would be built well, was comfortable, and something that Bells would enjoy.  I was faced fortunately with several choices.  Price was a determining factor because I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on a dog bed that would fall apart and yet I didn't want to spend a mega amount of money on a dog bed either even if it would last several years.  My future plans are to get the very best most rugged comfortable bed for Bella in the future when I've saved enough money to purchase it for her.  So, I need to get the best bed possible with the least amount of money.  One other consideration was the amount of room this bed would take up in the space where Bella sleeps.  I found the perfect bed for the requirements.  Double checked to be certain it was exactly what she would like by allowing her to try it out.  She hesitated to get into the bed, but with a little bit of encouragement and realizing I was serious about her laying down and resting, she gladly climbed into the bed, checked it out as she circled, and then lay down and went to sleep.  I didn't want to disturb her so waited a few minutes before asking her to get out of the bed.  She took a little while to get up and out, so I'm certain it was wonderfully comfortable for her. The video above is of Bella enjoying her Christmas present.

Making My First Video

I successfully made my first video which is an amazing accomplishment for me.  Because of several challenges, I struggled to make a video for my GoFundMe campaign.  Today I discovered after investing hours of searching around YouTube, trying over and over many times to figure out why the video "ask me" to allow access to my built in camera and microphone options wouldn't work, I finally decided to roam through the computer to see if I could find any thing which would help.  Even after searching for hours, I still didn't know why the connection permission situation between YouTube and my computer didn't work.  Frustrated and disappointed, I gave up for that day and decided to give it a rest for a while.

The next day I went through YouTube to make certain I hadn't missed anything.  Then, off into the depths of my computer again.  Visiting the same places didn't make things better and so because I needed to rest for a little while, I decided to return to this project later.  What was wrong with this situation that I wasn't able to figure out?  Following what I thought was a new path, I found myself back at the list of permissions again.

Because I am only able to see about an eighth of the computer screen at a time, I need to scroll constantly.  Finally I saw some arrow looking things at the right side of the list.I clicked on the arrow and discovered there are options for denying, something, and allowing.  I clicked allow, and was hoping that this would solve the problem.

When I returned to YouTube to try to make a video, I was thrilled to be able to use their features and my computer camera and microphone to practice recording my video for my GoFundMe campaign.Everything worked well.  The video didn't turn out the way I expected and so decided to wait until the next day to work on my video project.

The next day I discovered that YouTube was no longer supporting their video feature and so, had to figure out how to do a video in a different way.  Finally after hours and days of trial and error, I completed my video project.

THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE BECOME FRIENDS

Recently I have discovered that there is much unknown knowledge about life and how to understand, cope, and continue the journey with great success.  What is thought will affect how life is presented to you.  If for example you think and believe it is a wonderful day you will indeed enjoy a wonderful day.  It is the attitude as well as the perceived idea of what is happening which manifests it's self to you and  me.

I learned through experience that when I change how I thought about something I perceived happening in a certain way, there were changes.  These changes were dependent on my thoughts about them.  All I needed to do is decide if they were going to be positive or negative.  I had to get close to my feelings.  Close examination of how I felt gave me the information I needed for the appropriate changes needed.  Most of the time now, I focus on positive feelings, thoughts, and look for positive experiences.  Surprise!  I have created the pathway for positive experiences to be part of my life.  Fear, negativity, distrust, and other negative feelings bring a life most people including me, don't want.

It is also important to consider the effects of our feelings on our physical, emotional health, and psychological health.  I prefer to be as healthy as possible in a very, very good way.  So, I am dedicated step by step as I realize good results, to focusing on good things and letting go of the bad.  By bringing to myself as much good in thought, word, and deed, I am surrounding myself with plenty of goodness and good life experiences.  It is possible for everyone to change how their life is going for them.

When you or I have a problem with a response to something, then we should look at our feelings toward this event.  How do you or I feel about a certain something?  If it is a good feeling, then most likely it is something to continue.  However, if it is a feeling which is unpleasant or a small voice directs that we should change our mind about this feeling, it would be good to pay attention.

Paying attention to feelings is a good guid for the better way to make needed positive changes for a much better life.  we have free will and so it is possible to make different decisions from decisions of other people, yet fling good and free is for me something to strive for in life.

Medical Equipment

https://www.gofundme.com/vpbanjo  is   my new campaign which I launched in order to obtain funding for a special shower wheelchair which I need because my current shower wheelchair is literally falling apart underneath me.  I've tried several times to get the curser to go in between wheelchair and which so that I can break up this sentence and no matter what I did it refused to be placed in the correct spot.  Therefore the opening sentence will have to stay as is until I get help solving this challenging issue.  I have no idea why the font is bold either and will fix this as soon as possible.   Meanwhile I will explain about the items in my campaign.

I have a video which is a demonstration about what this chair does.  At the bottom of the information is my wish list.  This list has needed accessories which are designed to go with the shower chair.

Because medical equipment requires approval by insurance and at times other agencies it is necessary and most impressive to ask friends, family, and strangers for help.  I am receiving a fixed limited income which is a blessing and for which I am  grateful, yet, it is not enough to allow me to purchase this shower wheelchair so that I am safe while taking a shower.

Your help and the help of many people will help me be safe and able to shower without worrying about becoming unbalanced and falling which I hope never happens.

As I think of my situation and that of other people who through no fault of their own live with disABILITIES, I feel the stress and strain of wondering how I will obtain the necessary medical equipment for myself and how other people will obtain the necessary medical equipment for themselves.  I have a dream of being able to help all people who do not have inning funds obtain their needed medical equipment.  How this will happen, I know not at this time.  It is my dream and desire so I hold onto this knowing that the possibilities are vast and available to everyone who asks.  This is what is needed:

Viral posting of information which would alert people to the challenges of people who need special medical equipment.  A donation is precious and a blessing.  Sharing information so it goes viral is also a wonderful gift and blessing.  Please share my link.

My new video can be viewed on my GoFundMe page.  Share with family and friends, thank you.

My Favorite Writing and Reading Place

Because writing and reading are passions of mine and also, because I enjoy reviewing what people write, I have joined and become active in another place.  Writing.com is a writers delight and playground.  Of course, you can be very, very serious about your writing too!  There are many activities, contests, people to meet, and of course writing and reading.  Reviewing is an important part of the site and the community activities.

These reviewing activities can and often do, help writers become better writers.  I enjoy reading the many different topics, styles, and lengths of writing available for reviewing.  There is much written about reviewing, so that, you don't have to be concerned or worried about how to review.  And, there are many members, who, are willing and happy to help you learn about the reviewing and related information so that reviewing is a natural part of the activity you can enjoy and will like to do as time permits.

There are many different contests which I plan to start entering very soon.  So far there is something for everyone such as, poetry of all types contests, different fiction and non-fiction contests, daily, weekly, and monthly contests, etc.  I am exploring the site to see which contests I'm interested in entering. A way for me to improve my writing is to enter contests for writing which I have not tried creating yet, just to see how well I do, and then I will have an idea how much more, and what I should learn and practice writing before the next similar contest starts.

There are games other fun activities, puzzles, writing events and activities, and forums.  The list is so long,I would keep you reading more than you would be writing.

One thing I like about writing, com is all the awards, gifts, gps (gift points), and the help you receive for free not to mention help with other things.  You may even receive a free upgrade, or get enough gift points for an upgrade.

There are many different account levels which fit every budget and every need for writers.  FREE accounts are a great way to start on your writing adventure.  Free is good and when you are ready an upgrade may be just what will give you more tools to explode into writing like you never before experienced.  Would you believe, there are groups who give away free upgrades so that writers can get more functions and become better writers, yes it's true.  I thank the many friends I have at writing.com for the gift of my upgrade.

Bella & I Miss Our Best Friend, Shady

Shady our best friend was diagnosed with lymphoma on 9/6/2011.  He had courage and sweetness along with many other wonder characteristics not many people knew about or experienced.  To us, Shady was a hero.  He taught us much about life and about dogs and how they can if given the chance and proper guidance, recover from a life of unfulfilled needs.

I have to stop now and plan to return to finish writing about our friend shady.

I found Some very useful links which will help any artist, especially the artist who uses tools such as:
  • pen
  • paper
  • eraser
  • word processor
  • computer writing software
other writing tools: reference material,etc

  1. The first and a very important concept about writing is with the willingness to take time, practice, openly accept constructive criticism, ask for reviews, research, learn how to plan and create a map of your plan, and regularly write and tread, you will have success.
  2. After you start writing, do not quit.  Find ways to improve your writing.  read what you writ as if it was written by another author, experiment with different writing tools, techniques, and genera.  Allow yourself time and make time for writing.  Even if you don't know what to write or how to get started, write.  This has worked well for me.  Your worst writing can be a very good friend.
  3. One persons trash and be another persons treasure.  Trash can be turned into gems.  Just having an idea, a few words, or a concept of what you would like to write is a beginning.
  4. Even if in the beginning you write occasionally, this is a good start.
  5. deciding to write is the foundation with which you can build upon.
  6. Creating a structure will hold your writing together.
Finding communities of writers will be like finding a huge treasure from which you can glean many gems for your writing projects.  Writing friends will encourage you, give you pointers, and advice for becoming the wrier you want to become.

If you think about writing, write regularly, and really want to convey thoughts and ideas, then you're a writer.
Here are some links to information which has been very, very helpful to me:

My Semester Adventure

This semester is almost finished.  I have learned about XHTML & CSS in this class as well as what visually working in this element is and requires.
Creating web pages is very interesting and exciting to me and I hope to continue doing this kind of activity for many years into the future.  Hopefully I will be able to use these skills to help people and organizations and people help people.

Bella is learning many tasks to help me with my daily activities which will make getting things done much easier and possible for me.  My independence is very important to me.  Her help is priceless.  I will be adding information about her progress in the near future.

Together Bella and I will be able to do a lot of things everyone does.  This is a gift I cherish.  Being as close to normal as everyone else.  Having a life with a devoted canine friend who will work hard to help me and keep me company.  We are a team!

Creations 4 Future Projects: Sketchup & Photoshop

I'm going into a vast new world so that I can do move with my art.  Photoshop is so new to me I have no idea how to start.  I know how to crop photos, however this is the extent of my knowledge.  I'll have to become a thorough researcher and mad scientist so I can experiment with this software & get familiar with how things work.

I havn't learned how to get a project from Sketchup to Photoshop and tried a few options which didn't work, so I decided to upload these projects from Sketchup to my blog and then download the images to my hard drive which should allow me to get them into photoshop.  I hope this works.  If not I'll keep trying to move the files into photoshop and hopefully find the correct answer in a tutorial or accidentally do this the right way.  Any help with where I can find some excellent tutorials for Photoshop and other Adobe products is appreciated very much, thank you.

The upload did not work because the server rejected the file.  So, this leads me to believe I have to get the projects out of Sketchup into another file.  I can get the files onto my desk top, just not into another folder or in another form somewhere.

I figured this out!!!!!
You have to use "export" & click 2d and the name the file, make sure it's going where you can find it and select "save".  That will move your project in a 2d configuration to where you can the put your chosen project into Photoshp or other editing program.

These are the Sketchup project pictures I am going to use in some of my products at CafePress.

I hope this helps you with your art projects.

Works Of Art To Gift On Any Occasion

I have found a very artistic way to share gifts and my joy of animals, nature, computing and photography.  A short time ago, I opened a shop as a birthday gift for me which I would like to share with everyone.

http://www.cafepress.com/vpgifts

I like many of the products so much, I plan on making a purchase for myself soon.

If there is something special you would like to have please let me know and i'll do everything possible to get it for you.  And, if it is a gift for someone I'll try to get the exact request or perhaps something very close to what you are looking for to gift to that special someone.

I very much enjoy photography, creating art, and sharing things with people such as how to find rare art items and products which go well together.  For example, there are a lot of American Pit Bull Terrier enthusiasts who may be looking for a messenger bag or pet bowl with a picture of a pit bull.  This is where you can find these items.  I will be adding new products on a regular basis.

http://www.cafepress.com/vpgifts

Most of what I'm working with right now is nature, pets, art and different products such as for the office, personal items, pet products, and adding more as soon as possible.

What are you looking for is important so let me know and we can search together so that I can put your art into reality for you.

http://www.cafepress.com/vpgifts

Here is an example of what you will find.

I would appreciate any support, suggestions, and your sharing with friends and family the url to these fine products.  This will help me get the special equipment I need to help me remain in school and be able to successfully complete my studies, thank you.

Making a website: Work Of Art

Making a website is a work of art using a computer (paint brush), Xhtml & css (mediums) and the human brain (artistic vision), which combines to create content with knowledge (words), pictures, and other interesting elements.

I've used several different techniques and mediums to create art and didn't think of a web page or website as an artistic endeavor until I took this html.css class.  There is a lot of creativity to consider.  The page lay out; where you want to place things.  This is like deciding where you want to place objects like trees in a landscape.  Then there is the colors, font, and other objects to consider for placement and getting them to look nice together.  The nice thing about creating web pages and web sites is that you can try different ideas and easily change them until you get the results you looking to achieve.

This class has been an exciting, challenging, adventure I'm glad I decided to partake of and learn about.  I'm investing much time into understanding this new way of creativity and for me it is worth every second.

I had to Shoot Something!

I have been blessed to have enough vision to be able to go hunting.  For me art & hunting go together.  I enjoy the challenge of finding my quarry, doing the research, looking over the area in order to know the most effective way to get my victim in sight, track, then shoot.  Don't worry, ther is no blood shed.  My weapon is a Nikon D3100.  I can get away with shooting anything which interests me, anywhere, and at any time.  The beauty of all this is that there is no destruction.  My Nikon is legal, easy to take with me and ui have a lot of fun.  The very best part is being able to share my adventures with everyone.  Anyone else a hunting enthusiast?

When I was very young; During the "open me first" Kodak camera chimerical(s) around Christmas time was when I started shooting things.  About 10 years ago after not doing anything with a camera, I got a video recorder camera.  It seems to have died.  I didn't use it much.  The Nikon seems made for me and I plan using it every chance I get for as long as I'm able to shoot.

These are some of my first pictures taken with the Nikon D3100.  The camera has a nice balance, is easy to operate, and accepts many accessories.  I don't have much to say about the person behind the camera.  I'm in learning mode and will have to practice.  Perhaps I will eventually get a degree in photography :-)

Most of these shots are a result of trying the different features of my camera.

The Art Of Photography

I wrote the beginning of this several weeks ago and saved this post as a draft intending to finish it the next day and publish it, however time out ran me.

I have a new paint brush!  For a mega amount of years I've waited and saved for my camera and now I have the tool I need to go to the next step. Learning xhtml/css will allow me to create websites, add logos, pictures, and other elements and content for dedicated subjects and projects.

My class is going well this semester and I expect to soon be a better photographer so these skills will work well together.  One of mt favorite subjects is Bella my APBT service dog & her friends.  I will be adding everyone to this blog.

As an art form photography is very technical depending on how much you want to learn and do with your camera.  I'm just getting started after many years of not taking pictures.  The last time I took any pictures was when I was a kid in elementary school.  I shot some moving images a few years ago.  These images are analog so I'll have to learn how to work with them before i can get the on the blog and other places.  If anyone has some resources which would help me learn about working with analog images, please let me know. I appreciate the help of suggestions and resources from you.  This would be a great gift.

3/7/11

I've been very, very busy working on my class assignments.  This is a wonderful class which I am enjoying very much.  My greatest challenge is doing the typing and reading of the code.  I am determined to do my very best so have increased my efforts and devoted enough time to this job to make it almost like having a full time job & a part time job. The pay is very good; knowledge is priceless!

I'm looking forward to using my html/css knowledge & camera to share pictures and information with people and help them when ever possible.

What's Next? Future Hopes & Dreams for Me & Helping People

Looking toward the future I am planning on researching cameras for photographs and moving images.  When I am able to get my camera I will start using it to document Bella's progress in her service dog training, tell about our adventures, show interesting people, places, and things, and shoot anyone (with a camera) and anything which would be helpful for my website semester project, blog, and any other places where I can share information which may help someone.

Another next for me is to explore what computer will help me with life tasks, school, and make it possible for me to access information more easily including e-books.  I've been looking at the prices and the prices are I hope going to be reduced more which will make this challenge more easier to turn into reality.

I hope to get a handcylcle in the near future.  This will add to my freedom, ability to get some exercise, and improve my health.  Bella will very much enjoy going with me when I cycle because she likes to run and in short sprints I'm sure she will be fine running alongside.  I do not want to have her run too fast or for too long becaUSE SHE COULD HURT HERSELF BY OVER DOING THIS TYPE AND INTENSITY OF EXERCISING.  Oops I hit the caps lock.  This is good however because I want to emphasize the safety issues when cycling with canines, so I'll leave the mistake alone :-)  I'm not yelling at you as much as I want to be sure the statement is noticed; thank you for your understanding.

What does this have to do with art, school, service animals especially Bells, and people with disABILITIES?  More than you could ever imagine, know or even understand until you have an up-close personal experience in my world.  Ready?  Here we go.  Everyone is welcome to join in on this journey.  I'm very happy and glad you decided to come along with me :-)

I have dreams!  I dream of:
being able to go bicycling with friends like everyone else who enjoys this activity does and I'll probably when I can go cycling every day. Weather permitting, at least for a short ride, so that Bells can get some exercise.

A computer for me is more than a tool.  It is survival.  Because of my disABILITIES I must have a working reliabe computer so I can do the basic activities everyone needs to do as well as other tasks.

The camera is vital for getting school assignments now and in the future accomplished, telling Bella's story and teaching people about service animals, and for continuing my work on the web as well as sharing general information which may be helpful to people.

My biggest challenge is getting the funds to be able to acquire my needs and a few wants.  True this is for me; however, I don't want to hog everything and not share this with you and other people whom this information may help.  Education and information is priceless and you never know who or how it will touch someone, help someone, or change something for someone and others for a better future.

Many people with disABILITIES especially people on fixed limited incomes have to be resourceful and creative so that they can manage to find ways to get the funding they need to acquire the very expensive technology which will help them do the many tasks necessary in their daily lives.  This technology does not replace the ability to do things the same way people who do not have disABILITIES do them, it is a help and may be expensive.  Much of the wonderful technology requires the act of perhaps down loading a free software program to thousands and sometimes 10s of thousands of dollars in order for the person to have use of what this freedom offers.  I have some ideas which may help get this technology into the hands of the people who need it and who usually are the ones who can  afford to purchase it the very least.  I will share this with you later.  It is getting late, I'm tired, and I should go to bed and return tomorrow.  Many blessings and safe travels to everyone; Good night.

HTML/CSS class: Get It Done!

This class is going nicely.  My biggest challenge is reading the code and typing the code without making a lot of mistakes.  When I make a mess, it is then like looking for a needle in a hay stack.  Even with these challenges I am very much enjoying this class and so far have no regrets about being immersed in the code :-)

When the going gets tough the tough get going.  This is a statement I remember and bring to mind when I get stuck trying to learn something or start getting tired, or just need a boost to keep going.  So, I need to put on my tough and get going.  Time to return to studying.

I'm getting better at this & with more practice expect to become more proficient working with xhtml/css in the future.

Not Enough Books!

While I was stumbling, I found a picture which caused me to have to look at very, very closely because I had to be sure it was what I thought it was.  After a double take times 2, I scanned this picture from top to bottom, left to right, and also, looked at the URL.  If you like books, you're going to really like this picture :-)

My main focus was at first the rows, then the hight and length, then I looked from the right side to the leftside of the picture to see what other information was included in the shot.  I found there was more to this picture than I realized.  I was glad to find more about the subject matter and so continued exploring this photo in more detail inch by inch.

This photo which I consider a very detailed work of art is well done with:
enough information about the area, a lot of detail about where it was taken, enough light to see well the entire environment, and enough interest to keep you searching this photo for a while.

I was very surprised to see on the right side of the photo so much material.  I have never witnessed so much of this stuff in one place before, arranged into this type of configuration and in one place, and in this type of setting.  I had to look and look again and again.

This should keep you reading all of your life :-)  It looks in this picture like there are billions of books on the shelves to the right in the photo.  Happy reading :-)

New Semester Blog

Because it was suggested in my textbook to create a blog so I could tell about:

  • sites I find related to my XHTML/CSS class
  • how I was doing in class
  • what I was learning
  • places which had good reliable information that could be used to help add to what is in the textbook any other related information
And, this is the reason I created a new blog for this semester.
I will be adding new content to both blogs so I hope you visit ofter, thank you.

Super Sprayer

I like this unique way of creating art. The technique is fascinating and the results are amazing. This is very nice art in my opinion and I think it should be shared.

The colors are bold and out there which would go well with the outer space picture.  It seems like being accurate is importand, however if there were to be a mistake it looks like it could be fixed with out too much trouble.

Enjoy and please come visit soon, thank you.

Bella Had Her Picture Taken Today

I escaped and was able to get as far as the mall before I was caught :-)  Actually, Bella went with me for a day away from home for a change of pace. We enjoyed walking around and window shoping, visiting with people, having a snack, and doing some price research.

Just out of curiosity I decided to see what was happening with the prices of cameras and how technology was changing, so went into Ritz Camera.   The prices are in some cases better and others I guess because of inflation higher.  The mega pixels for high end cameras are up to 16 and may go higher in the future.  I think from what I was told that you can get a lot of camera for a reasonable price if you do your research.  I intend to check into this further in the near future so if anyone has information, please let me know.

Bella started her own private APBT party in the store and was a huge hit, making friends with everyone. They started shooting her with gusto and we all had a great time.  Here is one of the pictures of Bella.  She is making her debauch :-)
Bela is doing exactly what she is supposed to do as a service dog; be still & quiet unless she has permission to to something.  I gave her permission to say hello to the 2 people who were taking her pictures.  Yet, there are more pictures.  It's getting extremely late, so I'll probably post them tomorrow or later this week.

I have a major amount of school work to do, so I should try to get some rest and then spend most of the rest of this week studying.  I really like the HTML/CSS class I'm in and have high hopes of learning a lot about creating web pages.

XHTML/CSS Class Has Started

I'm diving into class work for the spring semester and being challenged to the max.  So far, my biggest challenge is understanding what is being read to me when the code is read.  The print in the textbook is extremely small so I can not read it to see the code.  Now I have got to be creative and figure out how to get my assignments completed.  With Gods guidance, people helping with suggestions and resources, and thinking outside the box I should find a way to do this.

What would be nice for me would be to have at least the practive exercises in large enough font to be able to do the work.  I'm going to investigate the possibilities.

I am hopeful the technology I must have to be successful in this course will be available soon.  This technology is wonderful but very expensive.  A grant would be very, very helpful for paying for these devices and technology.

I have to get to work and study :-)  I'm looking forward to learning the material in this class.

Image to Text Art (HTML Art, Unicode Art, Ascii Art) is a site I found while exploring"html art" search words.
